Mom Insists Kids Don’t Care That She Smokes Weed Since They Get McDonald’s When She Gets The Munchies

A Vancouver mom who smokes marijuana insisted her kids don’t mind the drugs because it means they get treated to McDonald’s when she gets the munchies. Caitlin Fladager has two young kids and is a mental health advocate who uses weed to help relieve stress and anxiety. It’s completely legal in Canada, so she’s not breaking the law, but not everyone believes she’s setting a good example for her little ones.

  1. Fladager recently shared a clip about her smoking on Instagram. The video showed her with her son and joked that he’d been waiting for her to get stoned so that she’d take him for McDonald’s since it’s the only time she ever craves fast food. “When you’ve been waiting for your mom to [leaf and smoking emojis] so she would want to order McDonald’s too,” she captioned the clip.
  2. She’s been open about smoking while her kids are at home. While many think it’s purely a recreational habit, however, Fladager has also been open about the profound effect marijuana can have when it comes to relieving the symptoms relating to her poor mental health.
  3. There were plenty of other moms who related to her. As one commenter wrote, “Hahaha my kids wait and fully take advantage when it’s munchie time.” Another added that they appreciated Fladager’s candidness because she’s also a smoking mom. “I love how you post about this, it eases my anxiety about being a mom so much,” the user wrote.”
  4. Not everyone is keen on her choices. However, it’s her children and they seem happy and well-cared for, so it’s not really anyone else’s business, is it? At the end of the day, the important thing is that the kids are loved and their physical and emotional needs are being met. If that’s the case, what does it matter that their mom likes to smoke weed sometimes?
