Mother Of 3 Takes Her Own Life After Husband Pranks Her Saying He Married Another Woman

A mother of three allegedly took her own life after her husband pulled a cruel “prank” on her in which he claimed he had married another woman. The sad incident is said to have taken place in Sialkot, a city in North-East Punjab in Pakistan, where the woman, identified only by the name Fauzia, lives, Daily Pakistan reports. Her husband, Muhammad Ramzan, is said to be currently living and working in Dubai, according to the Latin Times.

  1. It’s unclear what made Ramzan pull the prank. However, he is said to have called her on Monday to say that he had married a Middle Eastern woman there in Dubai before hanging up the phone. Fauzia reportedly tried to call him back several times but he didn’t answer.
  2. Fauzia allegedly became increasingly distressed. After not being able to reach him by phone, she’s said to have sent him several video messages in which she said that she “didn’t want to share him with anyone.” The videos apparently also included knives and daggers, with the final clip featuring Fauzia saying, “Tell me the truth in ten minutes or else I will end my life.”
  3. She took her own life after not receiving a response. While it seems unlikely that Ramzan will have received all of her messages, it’s still unclear why he didn’t respond. However, Fauzia reportedly hanged herself by a ceiling fan inside her home.
  4. Fauzia’s parents have allegedly filed a police complaint. They claim Fauzia was tortured to death by Ramzan and his family. Ramzan’s parents dispute the claim, saying it was a simple mistake and a prank gone wrong. Police are said to be investigating but so far, no arrests have been made.
