Mother And Daughter Killed Adult Film Star With Illegal Butt Implants

A mother and daughter have been charged with murder after posing as professional plastic surgeons and performing an illegal butt implant surgery that resulted in the death of an adult film star. Libby Adame, 51, and Alicia Galaz, 23, were arrested on August 5 in Riverside, California and charged with the death of 26-year-old Karissa Rajpul who died only hours after seeing the woman.

  1. The LAPD detailed a lengthy history of deception. Adame and Galaz had apparently been posing as specialists for a long time when they performed the procedure on Rajpul on October 15, 2019. While authorities believe they’ve likely performed surgery on a number of other victims, so far, no one has come forward.
  2. Adame and Galaz have zero medical training. As LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton told KABC: “These individuals have no medical training. They’re not experienced and they’re putting people’s lives at risk.” They were even advertising butt augmentation for a fraction of the cost of the normal procedure. They’re not qualified and clearly don’t know what they’re doing, as evidenced by Rajpaul’s death due to the illegal butt implants.
  3. The women left Rajpaul to die. According to authorities, when Rajpaul began experiencing complications in the hours after the surgery, Adame and Galaz called 911 and then left her to die. “They took people’s cash and we know in a couple of incidents, it resulted in murder,” Hamilton claimed.
  4. The adult star’s death was ruled a homicide. She died due to acute cardiopulmonary dysfunction and intramuscular/intravascular silicone injections, according to CBS LA. They are said to have injected Rajpaul with actual chemicals used by cosmetic surgeons as well as a host of other dangerous synthetics. “They were mixing them with chemicals and other substances that clearly are not appropriate for any medical procedure that would be performed on a human,” Hamilton said.
  5. Both Adame and Galaz have been released from prison. Ademe posted $1 million bail and was released the day after her arrest, while her daughter was released on bond two days later.
