Naked Woman Rescued From Florida Storm Drain Is Found Again In Texas Sewer Grand Prairie Police

A woman who was once found naked in a Florida storm drain after going missing for three weeks has been rescued once again, this time in a sewer system in Texas. Lyndsie Kennedy, 43, had last been seen near the Dallas suburbs of Grand Prairie and Arlington after she’d gone wandering off from a rehab facility in the area. She eventually climbed out of a 6-foot drain pipe and was taken to a local hospital and placed on a psychiatric hold, WPEC reports.

  1. Her family and the police knew where she was this time. According to family friend Brady Morgan, when officers from the Grand Prairie Police Department spotted Kennedy after she left the rehab facility, she evaded them by slipping down a storm drain. However, since her family had a GPS tracker on her cell phone, they were able to see her general whereabouts at all times.
  2. Her loved ones even brought her provisions while she was underground. Her family was said to have been dropping bags of food and Gatorade into manholes close to where they knew Kennedy to be in order to sustain her while she was underground.
  3. When she was rescued in Florida in March, she claimed she’d gotten lost. After being pulled from a storm drain in Delray Beach in March, Kennedy told rescuers that she had been swimming in a canal near her boyfriend’s house and had somehow gotten lost inside a tunnel system. When she was finally freed again, authorities say she was so week that she could barely stand. “I don’t know how much longer she would have been OK down there,” Delray Beach Fire Rescue spokesperson Dani Moschella told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. “The idea that somebody might be down there for any length of time is disturbing. It’s dirty, dangerous, there’s snakes, rats, garbage, dirt and leaves, anything that’s on the street that washes into a sewer, and it smells terrible.”
  4. Kennedy suffers from mental health issues. Her family is said to have revealed that Kennedy suffers from psychosis and post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of an abusive relationship she was in for years. Hopefully she’s able to get the help she needs this time.
