An Australian man was caught on video taking a shower while completely nude at a local car wash. The incident happened just after midnight on August 16 at Parklands Car & Dog Wash in Meridan Plains, on the Sunshine Coast and after being posted to their Facebook page, the bizarre clip immediately went viral.
- He wasn’t alone – a friend helped hose him down. In the video, a fully dressed person grabs the hose from the wall of the car wash and begins spraying the naked guy down while filming the whole thing. The showering guy sorta jumps around a bit as the water hits him while covering his bits in an effort to protect himself.
- He even washes off the chemicals at the self-serve bay. Given that the hose you use to wash your car also sprays out loads of cleaning chemicals that can’t be good for you, it’s probably the best option for him to head over to the self-serve bay for a rinse off afterward, which he gratefully does.
- The owner only discovered this after he noticed something was off. Geoff Bowen checked the CCTV after he came into work one morning and noticed that one of the washing hoses was lying on the ground. Imagine his surprise when he noticed the naked man showering in the car wash! “I just quickly looked at it [the CCTV] to see if anything needs attention and I saw that and I backtracked from there,” he told news.com.au.
- Bowen is pretty sure the showering guy will have been in some amount of pain. “The first one it comes out is a high pH, that dissolves grime and bird droppings,” he said of the hose contents. “The next one is a neutralizer, a low pH. He was in the machine and he kept moving so the sensor detected ‘there’s something wrong here’ and shut the machine off.” In other words, the man’s skin would likely have been burning. Bowen added, “To do that you have to be young and have young skin. He’d be on fire – like chilli juice on your skin.”Â
- Apparently, the guy is fine. He’s not too pleased about being famous online, but he’s survived his car was shower, so that’s something.
