Nap Dresses Are The Fashion Trend For The Eternal Sleepyhead In All Of Us

When it comes to the latest fashion trends, I’m really not all that bothered. Sure, I like to look nice and put-together, but I’m also not down with wearing unflattering, uncomfortable outfits simply because some random person decides they’re “in.” However, I’m about to make an exception to my own rule because the “nap dress” is a thing and it’s the most brilliant idea ever.

  1. Wait, so what’s a “nap dress”? Pretty much exactly what it sounds like: it’s a dress you put on to nap. I mean, you could wear it while you’re awake as well, but because it’s flowy and cool, it’s perfect for getting a little extra shut-eye during the daylight hours too. The concept was created (and trademarked!) by luxury bedding brand Hill House Home before the COVID-19 pandemic kicked off, and to be honest, it couldn’t have come at a better time.
  2. They don’t look like nightgowns. Because the nap dress is an actual beautiful, flowy, comfortable dress, it’s perfect for wearing during the daytime even if you plan on staying awake. It doesn’t look like pajamas or nightwear, so you don’t have to worry that you’re going to get called out during your Zoom meeting or when you run to the corner shop for some snacks.
  3. They come in all different colors and sizes. One of the greatest things about the nap dress is that it’s available in so many different colors, patterns, and styles. Whether you want something long, flowy, and floral or a shorter dress with a smaller matching one for your younger sibling or child, there are so many different ones to choose from. Best of all, they come in sizes XXS to 2X, so no one has to miss out.
  4. They’re not necessarily cheap but they are pretty great. If you want to take part in the nap dress trend, it’ll cost you – the dresses run about $75, but considering how pretty and comfortable they are, I feel like it’s well-worth it. I guess you could always use a dress you already have. After all, isn’t the nap dress a state of mind at its core?
