What “Netflix And Chill” Is Like When You’re In A Happy Relationship

Single people aren’t the only ones who like to “Netflix and chill.” Happy couples watch just as much Netflix as singles do, except they don’t watch it in exactly the same way. In fact, the entire experience is different. Here’s what “Netflix and chill” is like when you’re in a happy relationship:

  1. You fall asleep on each other. There’s a higher chance of you falling asleep on your boyfriend’s lap than of you climbing onto his lap to dry hump him. After all, he’s more comfortable than any pillow is.
  2. You know exactly what to put on. You won’t awkwardly scroll through your queue trying to find the perfect movie, even though you know you aren’t actually going to watch it. You and your boyfriend will already be in the middle of binging something, which means all you have to do is find the “continue watching” list.
  3. You actually watch the movie. Singles like to talk over the show in order to create flirty banter. Meanwhile, you’d kill your boyfriend if he interrupted an important monologue, because it would be too much work to grab the remote and rewind the scene.
  4. You cuddle afterwards. If you’re single and have sex in the middle of a show, the booty call will be over once the sex is over. However, if you’re dating and have sex in the middle of a show, you’ll rewind it once you’re finished and watch the rest while cuddling.
  5. You share the Netflix account. You won’t be embarrassed about the weird shows that pop up on your “continue watching” list, because your boyfriend will already know all about them. After all, he was siting next to you when you watched them.
  6. You eat big meals during the movie. Singles won’t be foolish enough to eat Mexican food that’ll make their breath smell and their stomachs churn, because they’ll want to feel sexy during sex. Meanwhile, when you’re in a relationship, you won’t have a problem eating Chipotle in front of the screen and letting out loud burps.
  7. You make fun of sex scenes. When singles see a steamy scene come up, they’ll be able to feel the sexual tension in the room build. But when you watch a sex scene with your serious boyfriend, you’ll be too busy laughing at how gross the kissing looks and how unrealistic their bodies look.
  8. You don’t overthink things. When you’re single, the only thing you’ll be thinking about during “Netflix and chill” is how to make a move. But when you’re in a relationship, you’ll have your full attention on the movie, because if you get horny, you know that all you have to do is grab your boyfriend’s junk.
  9. You hold hands. When you’re in a relationship, “Netflix and chill” doesn’t have to be sexual, so instead of touching each other’s thighs, you’ll hold each other’s hands. You might even end up getting a few forehead kisses.
  10. You don’t complain if you don’t have sex. If Netflix doesn’t lead to sex, it’s not the end of the world when you’re in a relationship. After all, you can always have sex later when you’re getting ready to go to sleep.
