Netflix Drops Stranger Things Season 4 Trailer

Netflix Drops Stranger Things Season 4 Trailer Netflix

I’ll be frank and say one of the main inspirations for keeping my Netflix subscription is for Stranger Things. The quirky, ’80s-style sci-fi series is easily one of the best original programs on the service and every season gets better than the last. Thankfully, Season 4 is upon us and Netflix has finally blessed us with the first trailer for the new episodes.

  1. The biggest takeaway? HOPPER IS ALIVE! Frankly, I never really doubted that he would be, but the showrunners tried to leave us with a bit of a cliffhanger to make us guess at whether or not Hopper was actually killed by the Russians or still alive out there somewhere. Thankfully, the latter has been confirmed. WHEW.
  2. Season 4 is officially underway. In a statement, the Duffer Brothers seemed just as excited as fans to reveal that new episodes of Stranger Things are imminent. “We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American’; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human… and other.” That sounds scary… and I can’t wait.
  3. There’s a special new edition to the cast. While the Stranger Things Season 4 trailer is only about 45 seconds long, it did offer us one additional tidbit, which is that Game of Thrones actor Tom Wlaschiha is on board and playing one of the people keeping Hopper imprisoned. It’s unclear whether he’s just a guest star or will have a more prominent role, so I guess we’ll all have to wait and see.
  4. So what’s happening with the rest of the gang? The Duffer brothers’ statement continued, “Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long-buried, something that connects everything. Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime, pray for the American.” Ugh, it’s going to be so good!
  5. There’s no official release date for Stranger Things Season 4 just yet. However, with the release of the first trailer, that must mean it’s imminent, right? Fingers crossed!
