Netflix Confirms ‘The Haunting Of Bly Manor’ Is Coming This Fall Netflix

If you love scary movies and TV series, chances are you’re always on the lookout for a new one to absolutely terrify you. You’ve probably seen most of them and maybe you’ve even been a little unimpressed, hoping that something would scare you so bad, you’d have nightmares for weeks. Well, look no further, because Netflix has confirmed that The Haunting of Bly Manor is coming our way this autumn.

  1. It’s by the maker of The Haunting of Hill House. Any horror fan will know that movie well and knowing that The Haunting of Bly Manor is by the same creator will be enough to get you excited. “The Haunting of Bly Manor arrives this fall. Until then… look beneath the surface,” they wrote in a Facebook post announcing the release.
  2. Everyone thought the release was going to be delayed. Because of coronavirus, no one would have been surprised if The Haunting of Bly Manor was delayed into 2021 or beyond. After all, most productions have had to come to a grinding halt over the past few months and filming can be tricky with social distancing measures, so it’s pretty good news that we’re still on for 2020.
  3. Filming actually wrapped back in February. “That’s a wrap on The Haunting of Bly Manor. Congratulations to the cast and crew, the familiar faces and the new, and congratulations to the filmmakers who came on board to make this season their own,” creator and director Mike Flanegan tweeted at the time. In other words, the show was never in jeopardy of not being finished, thank goodness!
  4. They didn’t miss a step! In a recent interview on CinemaBlend’s ReelBlend podcast, Flanegan explained, “We didn’t really miss a step, believe it or not. We had already wrapped before the whole COVID shutdown hit all the productions. We had a couple of weeks where we had to kind of figure out how to continue post remotely. But my post team also, you know, where I’ve been with now, my whole career, they cracked it real fast and we’ve been doing everything on these virtual sessions.” Good news for all of us!
