Netflix Announces Release Date For New ‘Unsolved Mysteries’ Episodes

If you’re a true crime fan, no doubt you devoured Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries remake the minute it came out. The first batch of episodes brought so many interesting cases to public attention and fans wanted more. Thankfully, the streaming service is happy to oblige and they’re bringing six new episodes our way this fall.

  1. The new episodes will still count as Season 1. While the six new Unsolved Mysteries episodes will count as Volume 2, they’ll still be part of the Netflix show’s first season officially. That doesn’t matter to anyone who’s not a complete geek for the details, but it’s still worth mentioning.
  2. Netflix teased the new eps on their Twitter account this week. On August 19, Netflix tweeted out a cryptic photo of a creepy forest with the caption “Let’s see how much of a sleuth @Unsolved Mysteries Volume 1 Made You…” Um, excuse me Netflix, but I was a sleuth before Unsolved Mysteries, thank you!
  3. If you look a little closer, you’ll notice something interesting… If you look above the bright white light of the picture, there, in tiny print, you’ll see the text “New mysteries October 19.” Ah-ha! So new episodes will be out in October. See? I told you I’m a sleuth! (Actually, full disclosure: I totally didn’t notice that at first and only realized it by reading another website.)
  4. I can’t wait to see the new episodes. Like the previous bunch, they will cover all kinds of, well, unsolved mysteries that range from murders, missing people, ghosts, all kinds of things. Any incidents that occur that can’t be explained or fully understood are on the table here, though we don’t have any ideas just yet as to what Volume 2 will be about. However, this is Netflix we’re talking about, so we’re sure to be in for some really addicting TV either way.
