As the temperature drops, it’s important to make sure you’re staying warm out there. Get on your winter coat, your scarf and hat, your gloves… and your nose warmer? You’ve probably never heard of the latter accessory, but it’s actually a real thing.
- The Nose Warmer Company is here to keep your nose warm. Their name says it all: they make nose warmers – think a pirate eye patch but for your schnoz – in a variety of fabrics including wool, fleece, and faux fur. The patterns and colors are pretty wild and pretty extensive, so there should be something for everyone here.
- Do we really need another accessory? I already resent the fact that I have to carry around a hat, gloves, and a scarf just to keep moderately warm on a cold day, so having to add another accessory into the mix does not sound like fun to me. We’ve all been getting through winters without a nose warmer for thousands of years, so do we really need to change things now?
- How did this even come about? According to the company’s website, “Our business started small, with one nose warmer made specifically to do the job of warming up a nippy nose! Our owner soon realized that she wasn’t the only one with this problem so ….. THE NOSE WARMER COMPANY was born.” Makes sense!
- Admittedly, my nose does get pretty cold. On really chilly days, my nose gets super red and freezing cold. However, the cold also makes my nose run for some reason, so wearing a nose warmer wouldn’t really work for me since I’d have to keep taking it off anyway so I could blow my nose. That being said, I do appreciate the sentiment here.
- They’re based in the UK but they’ll ship in America. While The Nose Warmer Company is a British company, they do ship internationally to the US, Australia, New Zealand, and the EU, so if this seems like a product you can’t live without, you don’t have to go without just because you don’t live in Blighty.
- I’m still not 100% convinced, but there must be a market for this. I mean, right?
