One-size-fits-all clothing is a myth, right? You’d think it would only exist in movies about sisterhoods and traveling pants, but it’s actually a real thing. A company out of Portugal called Tifosi has made all of our dreams come true by creating a line of jeans that truly are magic and really do work for all body shapes and sizes.
It sounds crazy, but these have been around for awhile. At least a few years, in fact. So why are we only just hearing about them? Chances are, the fact that they can only be ordered online by customers in Portugal and Spain has something to do with it. Not fair!
They’ve been put to the test… and they actually work. Skeptical as any woman should be, the ladies at Buzzfeed decided to see what these jeans were all about. One of the writers discovered these jeans and brought them to work to see if she and her coworkers could prove that they deliver what they claim to be able to. The results were surprising.
Understandably, a lot of people didn’t want to try on jeans they were sure wouldn’t fit them. The first person to try on the jeans for the Buzzfeed experiment was tall and thin—not necessarily a hard body type to find great fitting clothes for. Perhaps unsurprisingly, she was not only was able to wear the jeans but looked fantastic in them too. Most of the other girls approached about trying on the jeans were a little more reticent. These women represented every shape and size out there, so the idea that one pair of pants could fit all of them was like believing in magic. To be fair, the jeans don’t exactly look like they can fit anyone above like a size 6. Therefore, when she asked some of the curvier women, they thought it was a joke.
One by one, women were won over. Surprisingly, each woman was able to both put on and rock said jeans, from thunder thighs to birthing hips. One woman was even impressed that the jeans didn’t give her belly rolls or a muffin top. What was this sorcery?
Somehow, they adjust to the individual body they’re on. While it’s impressive that the jeans fit the bigger ladies, it’s equally impressive that when thinner girls put them on, the jeans weren’t loose on them. Seriously, this is some Harry Potter level stuff. While stretchy clothes that are form-fitting regardless of the form they’re on aren’t a new concept, this has rarely translated well in the world of jeans, and certainly not in a single size option.
It sounds crazy to say a pair of jeans can be empowering, but these are. The most empowering part of this whole experience is that all of these women just found a pair of jeans that fits and fits well. We all know how difficult finding a good pair can be, but every one of these women felt confident and comfortable in the Tiffosi jeans. One woman exclaimed, “I feel like I can do anything in these jeans.” Another celebrated how thin she looked in them. What’s not to love?
They even fit men. The end of the video featured a man showing off his derriere in the same jeans. Would men really buy and wear these? Probably not, but it’s nice to know they could if they really wanted to.
These jeans are the real deal. If you ‘re still skeptical after watching all of these beautiful women bond over these jeans, then try them for yourself. They come in a variety of colors and styles, and as someone who has given up on finding a good pair of jeans, I’m tempted to try them on too. You can also get them from Amazon, but they’ve been sold out for a while.
