Oreo Is Bringing Back Its S’mores-Flavored Cookies Just In Time For Summer Nabisco

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’ve never met an Oreo I didn’t like. Whether we’re talking Brookie-flavored cookies, glittery, Trolls-themed Oreos, or their new Strawberry Frosted Donut, I’m an equal opportunity Oreo lover. However, I don’t think I’ve been quite so excited for a new release – or rather a re-release – than I am at hearing that S’mores-flavored Oreos will reportedly make a comeback later this year. Hurrah!

  1. Oreo S’mores hit shelves for the first time in 2015. They disappeared that same year and stayed gone for a whole four years, reappearing for a short time in 2019. While there were rumors in 2020 that the brand was going to bring the flavor back, that never happened. However, it seems like 2021 will be our year. Finally!
  2. The updated packaging bodes well. It’s easy to write off these new rumors of a S’mores Oreo return as just hearsay, but given that Nabisco has updated the packaging for these bad boys, it seems like this dream is about to become a reality. Fingers crossed!
  3. Surely these have to be out in time for Independence Day! Given the fireworks on the packaging and the summer flavor (s’mores are a summer staple!), surely Oreo will get these cookies back in stores in time for the 4th of July, right? I mean, it’s America’s birthday, after all. What better way to celebrate?
  4. If you’ve never tried these, you’re missing out. S’mores Oreos are exactly what they sound like: graham-flavored cookies full of marshmallow-flavored cream and chocolate-flavored cream. Absolutely delicious! They’re not identical to the real thing, but they’re a pretty good approximation and taste damn good.
  5. Keep your eyes peeled for when these hit stores. Hopefully we’ll get an official announcement soon, but keep your eyes peeled in the meantime just in case. They might just surprise us!
