‘Ozark’ Season 4 Will Begin Filming In November

‘Ozark’ Season 4 Will Begin Filming In November Netflix

Ozark is without a doubt one of Netflix’s best original dramas, and while the sad news is that next season will be the show’s last, at least we know we’re getting more episodes and will get to wrap up Marty and Wendy’s storyline as well as find out what’s going on with Ruth, Darlene, and Co. Turns out, those revelations are looming ever closer since it’s been announced that Ozark Season 4 will begin filming in November.

  1. Jason Bateman spilled the beans in a recent interview. I imagine anytime anyone sees Jason Bateman, even if it’s someone he knows personally, they want to know when Ozark will begin filming again. To answer our questions, he told IndieWire recently that the cast and crew are only a couple of months away from starting on Season 4. “We’re going to start [filming] 9 November,” he said. “Everything is moving well toward that, and we’re very confident in the guidelines and protocols we’re going to be following. We’ve got tons of consultants, [and] we’re learning a lot from other productions.”
  2. Of course, there’s a lot of work to be done. As we recently learned, Ozark Season 4 will expand on previous series in that instead of offering us 10 episodes, we’ll be getting 14! This is great news, but it also means a lot more work to be done both in front of and behind the cameras, which may delay the premiere.
  3. Extra precautions are in place to ensure filming can be done safely. A spokesperson for MRC, the production company behind Ozark, said in a statement: “The health and safety of our Ozark family is our first priority. Our team has approached return to production with a mandate of exceeding guidelines outlined by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), government officials and others; and we expect our protocols to evolve as we learn from the industry and our own productions. As we aim toward a return, we are working with the unions, health officials, our consultants, and Netflix on our COVID safety guidelines and protocols. Upon approvals from our partners and the implementation of safety required in this new environment, we are targeting a November start date.” Seems like they’ve thought of everything!
  4. I can’t wait to find out what happens next season! We’ve got Ruth now working for Darlene, who has it in for the Byrdes, and now Navarro has shot Helen and is relying solely on the Byrdes to save and build his empire. Something tells me this is not going to be smooth-sailing in the least. When has it ever been?
