Paris Hilton Reveals She Was ‘Held Down’ And Sexually Abused At Utah School

Paris Hilton has detailed the sexual abuse she experienced while attending Utah’s Provo Canyon School. In an interview with the New York Times published on Tuesday, October 11, Hilton said staff members at the school would “perform cervical exams” on her and other female students.

  1. Hilton’s assault allegations should be taken very seriously. The 41-year-old said that staff at Provo Canyon would take female students from their beds in the middle of the night to forcibly perform the exams. “Very late at night, this would be around like 3 or 4 in the morning, they would take myself and other girls into this room and they would perform medical exams,” she said.
  2. The “exams” were not legitimate. Paris Hilton went on to claim that the sexual abuse she experience was at the hands of staff members, not doctors. She said that the exams were performed by “a couple of different staff members who would have us lay on the table and put their fingers inside of us.” She became emotional as she continued: “And I don’t know what they were doing, but it was definitely not a doctor. And it was really scary, and it’s something that I really had blocked out for many years.”
  3. Hilton still experiences flashbacks. While the abuse happened more than two decades ago, Hilton admitted that it’s still fresh in her mind. “It’s coming back all the time now, and I think about it. And now, looking back as an adult, that was definitely sexual abuse,” she said.
  4. She also discussed the abuse on Twitter. She wrote that she was “forced to lie on a padded table” and submit to a “cervical exam” despite protesting. “I cried while they held me down & said, ‘No!’ They just said, ‘Shut up. Be quiet. Stop struggling or you’ll go to Obs,'” she recalled. “It’s important to open up about these painful moments so I can heal & help put an end to this abuse.”
