Pastor Dressed As Grinch Stands Outside Elementary School With ‘Santa Is Fake’ Sign

A Texas pastor decided to be a complete killjoy by dressing up as the Grinch and holding a sign saying “Santa is Fake” outside an Amarillo elementary school. David Harold Grisham took to Facebook to share his attempt to teach the children at Sleepy Hollow Elementary School that the holidays are all about Jesus and accuse parents of lying to their kids.

Gee, what a lovely guy.

David Grisham believed he had every right to do what he did.

While you would think it’s not very Christianly to traumatize droves of young children just before Christmas, Grisham stands behind what he did and believes it was the right thing to do.

After all, how else are you going to get kids to be religious other than shoving it down their throats?

Grisham says in fact, he was the one who was victimized.

Writing on Facebook, he complained that someone called the cops on him for simply being the Grinch and holding a sign, which he says is perfectly legal.

“Stood outside Sleepy Hollow Elementary School in Amarillo, Tx dressed as the Grinch and telling the kids there was no Santa and that Christmas is about Jesus. The police showed up in force,” he wrote.

“I got assaulted by a parent and they tore my sign, and the police did their very best to distract me from my mission and blocked me from exercising my first amendment rights as much as they could. They as much as admitted so. Very unprofessional.”

He says even local parents wouldn’t leave him alone after the stunt.

He continued his Facebook post by claiming that he was “followed by an unmarked car for several miles” after he left the school and said that one of the parents took a picture of his license plate when he stopped at a local eatery for some dinner.

Is it really the end of the world for your kids to believe in Santa?

David Grisham thinks so!

In fact, he believes that it’s his duty as a pastor to educate the masses. After all, if all children knew from day one that Santa isn’t real, then the world wouldn’t be in the state it’s currently in, right?

“Hundreds of children heard the message and many parents as well. It’s very telling for a society to go this far in protecting a LIE. To go that far in trying to protect kids from hearing the truth. It’s no wonder our country is in trouble,” he wrote.

All I can say is, “Wow.” Ironic that he dressed up as another fictional character, eh?
