Earlier this week, it was announced that Kim Kardashian would appear in the new season of “American Horror Story.” The reality star and SKIMS mogul is officially in the 12th season of the horror anthology, but little is known about the part she’ll play.

According to showrunner and creator Ryan Murphy in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the role was written “especially for Kim” and it’s “fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying.” He added that this season is “unlike anything we have ever done.” And while that might be exciting to some fans, not everyone is convinced about the casting choice. In fact, legendary actress Patti LuPone is having none of it.

In the new episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” LuPone played a game of “Do! They! Give a Damn!?” When asked about Kardashian’s involvement in “AHS,” in which LuPone herself has previously starred, the Broadway actress admitted, “Yes, I do.”

Cohen asked LuPone for more, saying, “You don’t like it, do you?” She responded, “No, I don’t.” She then went on to address Kardashian directly, saying, “Excuse men, excuse me, Kim. What are you doing with your life?”

Patti LuPone then quoted a 1935 Noel Coward song, adding, “Don’t get on the stage, Mrs. Worthington.”

Interestingly enough, John Leguizamo, himself a seasoned actor of stage and screen, feels similarly. “Whatever she said, I double the emotion,” he shared.

Ryan Murphy previously attempted to assuage the concerns of Patti LuPone and others who think that Kim Kardashian has no business on the show. “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” he assured fans.

“Emma [Roberts] and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture,” he added.

We’ll have to try and reserve judgment until the episodes air, I guess!
