Pennsylvania Man Steals Lawnmower From Home Depot At Gunpoint Dickson City Police Department

A Pennsylvania man pulled a gun on workers at a Dickson City Home Depot store as he walked out with a lawnmower that he didn’t pay for. The unidentified man, who was captured on surveillance footage at around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 4, the Dickson City Police Department announced in a Facebook post. He made off with his stolen goods in a white Kia Sportage and is now wanted by authorities.

  1. Security guards and employees tried to stop the man. After noticing that the man hadn’t paid for the item, workers attempted to stop him on his way out of the store. That’s when he pulled a gun on them. For their own safety, staff allowed the man to leave without question.
  2. Dickson City Police are now appealing for leads. They’ve asked anyone who might know the man’s identity or whereabouts to come forward with that information so that police can get in touch with him. “This gentleman didn’t want to pay for his Dewalt mower. So much so that he thought it to be best to pull a firearm on loss prevention and then flee in his white Kia Sportage,” they wrote in their appeal. “If you can help identify the masked bandit, please call Officer Fredericks at 570-489-3231 ext. 2062.”
  3. Something tells me this guy really needed a lawnmower. That, or he just thought pulling a gun on staff was a way to get what he wanted for free. Either way, the footage is pretty clear and I doubt it’ll be long before he’s found and arrested.
