A Japanese photographer named Yasuto has melted the hearts of basically everyone on the internet after posting photos he took of his grandma with her beloved Shiba Inu while showcasing his favorite 135mm camera lens. It’s safe to say these are the sweetest, most adorable photos you’ll see today (and maybe ever again).

Studies have shown the positive impact animals can have in our lives, especially in the lives of senior citizens in terms of companionship and health-boosting abilities. Seeing this grandma and her Shiba Inu’s beautiful bond is a perfect illustration of those findings.
