There Are Plenty Of Fish In The Sea, But I Only Want You

I don’t know whether or not I believe in “The One,” but I do know that if the perfect person for me exists, it has to be you. I know there are other guys out there that I might click with and could maybe even grow to love, but I don’t want any of them. Forget all the other fish in the sea — I only want you.

  1. No other guy will ever compare. You may not be perfect, but you’re perfect for me. We all have our flaws, but you and I are a match made in heaven. I’ve dated other guys and I’ve seen what’s out there. Out of every guy I’ve met (and trust me, I’ve met a lot), not a single one of them compares to you.
  2. I’ve been in this fishing game a long time… but I’ve never known love like this. In fact, I was beginning to believe that true love didn’t exist, that it was just a fantasy made up for fairytales. You proved that theory wrong, though. True love does exist. I just had to go through a lot of BS before I finally found it.
  3. Every bad fish was worth finding you. Every mistake I made in love taught me something. Every teardrop made me stronger. Every boy who treated me like I was nothing was worth the one boy who makes me feel like everything — you. I may have gone through hell and back, but the journey was so worth the destination, and I’d do it all over again just for you.
  4. We’re both so lucky to have found each other. There really are so many fish in the sea, but despite the billions out there, we found each other. You’re not just one in a million, you really are one in over seven billion. Some people spend their whole lives searching for the right person and never even find them, but we’re just a couple of the lucky ones.
  5. I won’t be throwing you back. Not this time. You’re a fish a girl needs to hold onto, and the best part is that you feel the same exact way about me. We’re both done with this fishing game. We’ve caught all we need. We won’t be going back to the sea.
  6. We were both damaged in this game before. I think that’s part of the reason we know we’d never hurt one another. Not only do we love each other, but we also know the pain of heartbreak. We know respect, and we know how to treat each other the way we both deserve. We’ve seen pain, but now all that heartache is a thing of the past.
  7. I’d be settling with anyone else. There will never be another man like you. I’ll never have another love like you. There might be plenty of fish in the sea, but none of those other fish are you. You’re one of a kind. You’re the exact man I want to be with, and if I had to be with anyone else, I’d just be settling in comparison to you.
  8. Now there are two less fish in the sea. We’re both taken and that gigantic dating pool just got a little bit smaller. I’m officially done with the dating, and I know you are too. We’re sailing off into happily ever after, and I’m so glad that after everything the dating game put me through, I took one last chance and caught you.
  9. We’re just two fish who are meant for each other. Now that I’ve met you, I do believe in “The One.” I used to wonder if that was just a myth people made up for hope, that maybe it was a coping mechanism to make the single feel better. Finally, I know that all the cynicism wasn’t true. I believe in us. I believe in fate. We were meant to be and I know there’s someone out there for everyone else too.
  10. You really are a catch. MY catch. I found the one and I want to scream it from the rooftops. What does boyfriend material look like? It looks exactly like you — a man who treats me well without my having to ask. A man who loves me unconditionally and gives me his very best every damn day. There are so many fish in the sea, and I’m so happy I caught you.
