Police Break Up Orgy Attended By 81 People Despite Lockdown Rules

Police in France raided a warehouse in Collegien, just outside of Paris, breaking up an orgy involving 81 people. The unlawful gathering, which took place on January 29, was in violation of COVID curfew rules, leading to dozens of fines totaling €135 each. According to the law, movement between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. is seriously restricted in many major cities in the country.

  1. It’s unclear how they were tipped off. When police arrived on the scene at 9 p.m., they immediately started handing out fines. It took them two hours to get permission to go inside, at which point they saw the large orgy taking place.
  2. Everything in the warehouse was confiscated. Thanks to an emergency junction by a local magistrate, the police were able to confiscate the lighting and sound system in the warehouse. They also took all the alcohol on the scene. “The event was in breach of the curfew, and there were also problems with masks and social distancing,” an investigator involved in the operation said. “Those involved in the libertine party cooperated with the police, and there was no resistance to the police.”
  3. In total, 81 people were fined. In addition, there were three other people thought to be part of the group who were questioned, though no fines were issued in this case.
  4. This is not the first large gathering that’s had to be broken up by police. With the COVID-19 pandemic far from over, it’s vital that large groups don’t assemble in one place, as these situations will likely turn into superspreader events. It’s not worth it. Stay in save for vital journeys and stay safe.
