Police Are Looking For A Man Who Assaulted Women With ‘Violent’ Acts Of Indecency

Police in Sydney, Australia are on the lookout for a man who allegedly stepped out from behind a bush and “violently masturbated” in front of a new mom and her friend on a popular beach before running away. Understandably, the women were left pretty shaken from the experience and here’s hoping he’s caught soon!

  1. It happened in broad daylight. According to 7NEWS.com.au, the anonymous women were walking up Wattamolla beach through Royal National Park bushland to get back to their car on the afternoon of January 30. It was during that walk that the man came out from the bush and began his assault.
  2. The women believe he was wearing a camera. They told authorities that it seemed as though the man, who was caucasian and aged somewhere between 30 and 40, was wearing a camera around his neck when the incident occurred. He was said to be wearing “a Khaki hat with black flap, khaki shirt, and khaki boots.”
  3. The man was allegedly involved in a second act as well. The incident took place later that night at the Salmon Haul Reserve in Cronulla. In that situation, “a male … exposed himself and performed an act of indecency towards a female.” He ran away when the victim walked away to go speak to other people. Ugh.
  4. Sutherland Shire Police Area Command is investigating. They’re looking for the man involved but so far have had little luck thus far. Hopefully they’re able to locate him soon so that he doesn’t put anyone else through what these women went through. “He was violently masturbating at us,” one of the victims said. “We yelled at him and tried to take a video to pass along to police, he wasn’t fazed at all and continued going at it while staring at us and following us on the track.”
  5. Ladies, be safe out there! While thankfully, the women weren’t physically hurt here, it’s scary to know how often things like this occur and how helpless they can leave us feeling. Be safe! (And better yet, men, do better!)
