Police Are Looking For Woman Who Tossed Backpack Full Of Human Remains In Store Dumpster Chesterfield Police

Virginia police are on the hunt for a woman who tossed a backpack full of bloody human remains in a store dumpster. Chesterfield County Police revealed in a statement that an unidentified female had dumped the backpack in a bin behind the shop before walking into the store and then leaving the area.

  1. The woman was seen getting rid of the backpack by someone who worked at the store. According to the police statement: “A store employee checked the backpack, saw what appeared to be blood on it and called police. Officers on scene found what appeared to be human remains in the backpack.”
  2. Who the remains in the backpack belonged to still hasn’t been revealed. A source did tell local news station WTVR that the remains could be a baby’s body, but the medical examiner’s office is still investigating and has yet to release its findings. Security cameras caught the woman in question entering the store, with her full face being clearly visible.
  3. Police are looking for the woman for questioning. WTVR reports that the backpack did contain some identifiers that potentially lead to a local high school. This could point to the girl being a current or former student there, but that remains to be seen.
  4. Investigators are asking for anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who recognizes the woman in the surveillance footage or has further info is urged to call 804-748-1251.
