Pop-Tarts has come out with a huge number of flavors over the years to satisfy its customers. From Red Velvet Cupcake and Hot Fudge Sundae to Strawberry Milkshake and even a Froot Loops collab, there’s something for everyone. Personally, I’m a purist and will always gravitate towards fruit flavors like Strawberry and Raspberry and I also love the Brown Sugar Cinnamon ones. That being said, I have to admit I’m intrigued by Pop-Tarts’ new Banana Crème Pie flavor because it sounds ridiculously yummy.

- Banana cream pie is one of my favorite desserts. Bananas, vanilla custard, cream, and that flaky pastry crust? I mean, come on, what’s not to love here? While I wouldn’t have ever imagined Pop-Tarts would adapt the classic dessert into toaster pastry form, I’m definitely glad they did because I can’t wait to try it.
- Pop-Tarts’ Banana Crème Pie sounds like the perfect homage to the original. It’s got the classic Pop-Tarts pastry that’s then filled with banana-flavored fruit filling and then iced with a yummy, sugary frosting. It’s basically like eating a slice of banana cream pie without all the effort of having to actually bake, which is always a plus in my book.
- Sadly, Banana Crème Pie is an exclusive flavor. Pop-Tarts is making this one exclusive to Walmart, so you’ll need to visit your local store to pick these up once they hit shelves later this spring. That’s not a huge deal in and of itself as many of you may already shop there. However, if you don’t live near a Walmart store, you may end up missing out!
- If Banana Crème Pie Pop-Tarts aren’t your bag, there are two other new flavors joining the roster. Peach Cobbler and Lemon Crème Pie Pop-Tarts will also be coming out in June 2021 and you’ll be able to grab boxes of 8 for about $2.89. Something tells me they’ll be just as delicious!
