Rebel Wilson has come out as part of the LGBTQI+ community on Instagram, describing her girlfriend Ramona Agruma as her “Disney princess.” The Pitch Perfect actress took to her social media account on Thursday, June 9, revealing her love to her 10.9 million followers along with a photo of herself and Agruma looking happier than ever. How perfect is this for Pride Month?
- The caption to Rebel’s photo was super sweet. “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove,” she wrote alongside two pink hearts and a rainbow. Stop – that’s too cute!
- The signs were there all along. The fact that Rebel and Ramona are a thing shouldn’t really be a surprise given that the duo has been out and about together plenty of times, attending the Oscars together as well as several premieres. It’s funny that no one speculates about who’s dating whom when it’s two women, but had Rebel been hanging out with a guy, the rumors would have been all over the place!
- This shouldn’t really be news. In writing this article, I admittedly feel a little conflicted as “coming out” shouldn’t really be a thing. Straight people don’t feel the need to make an announcement that they’re attracted to the opposite sex, so it’s kind of sad that those in same-sex relationships feel that they need to. On the other hand, this is great, and the LGBTQI+ community is happy to welcome Rebel Wilson and her girlfriend to the team!
- It’s unclear how long Rebel and Ramona have been dating. However, it could be up to a year given that that’s how long ago Rebel split from ex-boyfriend Jacob Busch. Here’s hoping they have a long and happy future together – they deserve it!
