While my preferred energy boost comes in the form of coffee, I’m not averse to pounding an energy drink every now and then. There’s nothing quite like the rush you get from all that sugar, caffeine, and God knows whatever else they put in there to get you going, and now Red Bull is making staying awake even tastier by releasing Red Bull Summer Editions Watermelon.
- It’s classic Red Bull but with a delicious watermelon twist. Is there any fruit that says hot summer days quite like watermelon? Definitely not, which is why incorporating the sweet, delicious taste into classic Red Bull is such a genius move on the company’s behalf. I haven’t even had any yet and I’m already sold!
- Red Bull’s Summer Edition lineup includes loads of tasty flavors. Watermelon is at the top of my list, but there’s also peach, blueberry, kiwi-apple, coconut and berry, pear, cranberry, orange, and tropical fruit. Boosting your energy levels while having a delicious fruity drink that doesn’t make you feel like you’re drinking an energy drink? Sign me up!
- It still packs a decent caffeine punch. As the Red Bull website reveals, Watermelon and the other Summer Edition flavors have 80mg of caffeine. By comparison, a cup of coffee you make at home has about 95g of caffeine. It contains real sugars and B vitamins. What more can you ask for?
- What about a Red Bull slushie? If you’re trying to keep cool during those hot summer months, why not use Red Bull’s watermelon flavor (or any of the others) as part of a tasty slushie? Add some ice and the drink into a blender and you’re off. You could even add some alcohol for a boozy slushie, if that’s your thing. Hey, you work hard. You deserve a little treat every now and again.
