Restaurant ‘Karen’ Threatens To Punch Staff And Accuses Them Of ‘Drugging Her Food For Fun’

Another day, another case of an entitled white woman losing her s**t in a public place and lashing out at service staff for no apparent reason. TikToker and restaurant manager @user627183716391 managed to catch the incident on film, revealing a “Karen” who refused to pay for her food, threatened to punch her in the face, and accused the staff of drugging her food.

1. “Happy New Year to Me,” the caption of the video reads. Since it was posted Sunday, it’s garnered more than half a million views and more than a thousand comments from people who just can’t believe what they’re seeing (or who can believe it but are still horrified that people act like this).
2. The video really is awful. The customer can be heard screaming at and threatening he staff in the clip. She also tells the manager that she’ll “punch you in the f***ing face.”
3. A follow-up video revealed the full story. The manager revealed that the woman had actually been in earlier that night and called later to complain that one of the waitresses had tried to drug her. The customer claimed that she was so ill when she left the restaurant that she couldn’t drive and had to get a taxi. The manager told her she should go to the hospital and contact them later.
4. Of course this “Karen” was lying. Returning to the restaurant to eat, she ordered two of the most expensive items on the menu and decided to take one home for later. “But apparently she thought we undercooked the steak the first time,” the TikToker shared. “We took it off the bill, so all she had to pay for was that other entrée she got that she was going to take home.” That wasn’t good enough, apparently.
5. The customer then inquired about her drugging claim. She asked what the owners said, at which point the manager explained that they had been waiting for her update. At that point, the Karen accused the restaurant of “drugging her food for fun” and running a drug ring.
6. Eventually, she had to be escorted from the premises. “She hit the other manager who is stopping her from running away from the cops,” the video was captioned. “She is a safety threat at this point if driving and leaving our property.” It was unclear if the woman was under the influence at the time of the incident.
