While Ron Jeremy was first arrested on historical sexual assault charges last summer, it seems the truth about the abuse the porn star forced women to suffer continues to get worse. This week, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón officially indicted Jeremy on more than 30 counts of sex crimes against 21 different victims. All of these crimes are alleged to have taken place over the past 20 years, showing just how long his horrific behavior was allowed to go on without being punished.
- The charges against him are very serious. As per TMZ, there are 12 counts of forcible rape, seven counts of forcible oral copulation, six counts of sexual battery by restraint, four counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object, two counts of sexual penetration of an unconscious or asleep person, and one count each of sodomy by the use of force, assault with intent to commit rape, and a lewd act upon a child under the age of 14 or 15. It just gets worse and worse.
- Jeremy issued a plea of not guilty on Wednesday. However, the 21 women who were assaulted by him over the course of 23 years in crimes dating all the way back to 1996 aren’t likely to accept that and will be relieved to see prosecutors pursuing justice.
- Not many details are available about the alleged crimes. However, one woman claimed that when she was 19, she was raped by Jeremy during a photoshoot. Another victim revealed that she was raped by Jeremy at the age of 26 while at a nightclub. He’s also believed to have raped a 17-year-old girl at a Woodland Hills home in 2008. His youngest victim was 15 years old when she was sexually assaulted by Jeremy in June 2004.
- No trial date has been set. It’s unclear when Jeremy will face a full trial and how much information about that trial will be made public, but fingers crossed that he faces justice soon.
