It’s hard to look forward to hot summer days, the sun high in the sky and a delicious drink in your hands as you lounge poolside/lakeside/oceanside, but it’s coming, I promise! It might not feel like we’ll ever get through this brutal period, but we will. In the meantime, RumChata’s new lemon flavor will transport you to those boozy days while you’re still on your couch.
- If you’re not familiar with RumChata, you’re missing out. It’s basically a cream-based liqueur that’s made with cinnamon and vanilla. It makes a great mixer for cocktails and while it’s kinda like Baileys Irish Cream, the flavors are slightly different.
- RumChata Limón is a game-changer. The new release has switched out the cinnamon flavor for lemon, elevating the liqueur to all new summery heights. In addition to being packaged in a bright yellow bottle, the citrusy flavor is also very reminiscent of hot, lazy days under the sun.
- There’s so much you could do with it! A lemon version of RumChata is a welcome addition to the brand, especially because you can do so many different things with it, from taking shots (always a good option) to making cocktails like a Lemon Latte Martini or a Lemon Cake. You can even add it to your coffee for a little extra kick, if that’s your style. It’s definitely mine!
- It’s got a pretty impressive ABV. RumChata drinks, including the new lemon flavor, are about 14% ABV, which should provide a pretty decent buzz. It’s available in 750ml bottles and sells for about $20, so it’s well worth the price. After all, we could all use a little sunshine right now in whatever way it comes, and this seems as good of a way as any (especially since you get a nice buzz out of the deal too).
