You Can Now Send Your BFF A Basket Full Of Sweet Treats And You Totally Should

While there’s plenty of light at the end of the tunnel, there’s no use denying that the world is still in a really tough place and it’s hard to stay positive. We have to take pleasure in the small things, whether that’s watching our favorite shows or indulging in a delicious treat every now and then. Speaking of treats, you can totally send your BFF (or your mom, partner, colleague, or anyone else) a bunch of sweet treats in the mail and you totally should.

  1. No matter the occasion, Hampers.com has a gift basket for that. While Americans might think of dirty laundry when we hear the word “hamper,” in the UK, where Hampers.com is based, that’s actually basically another way of describing a gift basket. It’s a collection of yummy treats, and this site has literally TONS of them. Whether you’re buying for Easter, a birthday, an anniversary, or just because, there’s something there for everyone. They were nice enough to send me one of their Valentine’s Day hampers (as seen above) and I can’t lie: I devoured it in, like, 24 hours. Obviously Valentine’s Day is over for another year, but the site still has plenty to choose from.
  2. They ship their hampers around the world, which is pretty convenient. While the company is based in the UK, Hampers.com has selections that can be sent to the US, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Considering how many anglophiles we have in the states, I imagine they’d be pretty thrilled to receive some British treats in the mail. I know I was!
  3. It’s a tasty alternative to flowers. While special occasions often call for floral bouquets and arrangements, offering up an edible gift is way better, in my book. After all, flowers die. Yes, snacks are eaten and then they disappear, but at least you get to enjoy them a bit more while they’re around. Maybe it’s just the people I hang with, but I know they’d totally prefer snacks to flowers.
  4. They don’t just offer sweet treats either! If your recipient doesn’t like chocolate, cookies, and candy (what’s wrong with them?), Hampers.com also offers some wine selections and cheese selections as well, so there’s truly something for everyone. Have a browse of their offerings here – you’ll be glad you did! (And if you need some inspiration, know that I’m particularly fond of this Sweet Bouquet and the Sweet Treats For Her hamper!)
