‘Sex And The City’ Star Chris Noth Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 2 Women

Chris Noth, best known for starring as Mr. Big on Sex and the City, has been accused of sexual assault by two women who say they were manipulated and taken advantage of by the actor. The 67-year-old actor is said to have attacked one woman in 2004 and the other in 2015 after luring them to private locations and forcing himself on them, The Hollywood Reporter revealed on Thursday.

  1. One woman was allegedly left needing hospital treatment. According to one of Noth’s accusers, he was so rough with her that he made her bleed and forced her to seek hospital treatment. The other accuser said she felt “totally violated” by the experience but didn’t report it because he left her a voicemail the following day trying to pretend that nothing bad had happened.
  2. One victim, named only as Zoe, recounted her experience in 2004. Prompted to speak out after all the hype surrounding And Just Like That, Zoe told THR: “It was very painful and I yelled out, ‘Stop!’ And he didn’t. I said, ‘Can you at least get a condom?’ and he laughed at me.” Zoe was 22 at the time and Noth was 49. They met while she was working as an assistant at a talent agency and he immediately struck up a flirtation with her after getting her phone number.
  3. Noth was reportedly very calculated in his attack on Zoe. Zoe said that she and her best friend were at a pool in Noth’s apartment complex in West Hollywood when he asked her to bring a book upstairs to him. She said that once there, he tried to kiss her and while she tried to get away, he pulled her towards the bed and pulled her shorts and bikini bottoms down before raping her. Her friend, now a child psychologist, confirmed that she took Zoe to the hospital following the ordeal. However, Cedars-Sinai says they don’t keep records dating back to 2004 to confirm Zoe’s account.
  4. The second accuser, known as Lily, met Noth when she was 25. She was working as a server at the now-closed nightclub No. 8 in 2015 when Noth, who was married to his wife Tara Wilson at the time, began coming onto her. “He was hitting on me, for sure. I was flattered. I knew he was married, which is shameful of me to admit,” she told THR. Soon after, the 60-year-old got her number and asked her out, which she found flattering.
  5. Things between them escalated quickly. After going to dinner with him at the infamous Il Cantinori, they drank wine at the bar and he invited her back to his apartment to sample his whiskeys. “I was not super sexually active, not wild and crazy. I thought, ‘We’re going to drink whiskey and talk about his acting career.’ It sounds so stupid,” she told THR. Once she got there, he launched an attack on her. “He tried to make out with me. I cautiously entertained it. He’s older and looked older. He kept trying and trying and trying, and I should have said no more firmly and left. And then the next thing I knew, he pulled down his pants and he was standing in front of me.” Before she knew it, “he was having sex with me from the back in a chair. We were in front of a mirror. I was kind of crying as it happened.”
  6. Noth tried to cover his tracks the following day. Lily claims that the following day, Noth left her a voicemail in which he tried to minimize the damage. Lily’s friend Alex, who reportedly heard the message, shared its contents. “It was, ‘Hey, hope you didn’t take anything wrong last night. We had fun. Just want to make sure you didn’t take it the wrong way.'” She added that it seemed “very much, ‘I know I did something bad, but I’m trying to make it seem like it wasn’t a big deal.'” Lily remembers the message as well. “He left a voicemail saying, ‘I had a nice time and would really appreciate it if you wouldn’t talk to your girlfriends. If we could keep this between you and me, that would be great.'”
  7. He continued to pursue Lily. THR read a text exchange between Lily and Noth in which Noth asked her to meet up a few more times. While she agreed to dinner at one point, she later canceled and they never met again.
  8. Noth has denied any and all allegations against him. “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women,” he said in a statement to Page Six.
  9. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Noth has been accused of inappropriate behavior. Back in the mid-’90s, Noth’s ex Beverly Johnson accused him of abuse, saying that he not only threatened to disfigure or kill her but to kill her dog as well. Just yesterday, actress Zoe Lister-Jones added to the allegations against him, revealing that she personally witnessed Noth being “sexually inappropriate” on multiple occasions.
