If there’s one thing I miss about being a kid, it’s all the cool toys, gadgets, and other stuff that exists just for little ones. Case in point? This amazing pirate shark desk* from Turkish company Cilek is the perfect example. Not only does having a shark desk in general look pretty cool, this one has some extra features that make it out-of-this-world awesome and I’m super jealous that I’m too old to have one.
- It has light-up teeth and glowing eyes! As if this could get any cooler! The six teeth of the shark desk feature LED lights to give kids something to read or do their homework by, while the eyes are movable to whatever position you want them to be in.
- The shark is basically chomping on the desk. The flat wooden portion on the shark desk is positioned so that it basically looks like the shark, with its open mouth and fearsome teeth, is about to chomp down on a wooden plank or something. It sounds scary in theory but it manages to be more awesome than anything else.
- It’s part of a whole pirate-themed kids’ bedroom set. You don’t need to have anything extra to enjoy the shark desk, but if you wanted to, Cilek has a whole range of furniture and accessories to complete the pirate bedroom suite including a dresser, nightstand, bookcase, storage chest, toy box, pirate ship bed frame, and even a pirate comforter set.
- Some assembly is required but totally worth it. The shark desk is made of CARB P2 compliant particle board and non-lead BPA free Polystyrene plastic and you’ll need to be ready to put in some DIY work to get the desk up and running, but the finished product will make your labors worth your while.
