Starbucks Is Selling A Shimmery Gold Cold Cup In Celebration Of Its 50th Anniversary And It’s Almost Too Pretty To Drink From Starbucks

It’s hard to believe that Starbucks has been around for half a century but it’s true. The first store opened in Seattle all the way back in 1971 and I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty grateful it did (I need my venti iced red eye). As an added bonus, the popular chain has decided to celebrate its 50th birthday by selling a gorgeous copper-gold cold cup that’s almost too pretty to drink out of.

  1. A nice Anniversary Blend would go great in this. This monumental anniversary is also worthy of its own Anniversary Blend coffee, and Starbucks is releasing one for the occasion. Why not brew up a pot, pop some ice in, and pour it in your new cold cup to celebrate along with the company? Starbucks says the blend is a “bold blend sourced exclusively from Indonesia that displays tasting notes of smoked cedary spice, black truffle, & fresh tarragon.” Sounds tasty to me!
  2. This beautiful gold cold cup isn’t the only new merch. However, it is kind of the best part of the new collection. The Copper Dichroic Bling Plastic Cold Cup holds 24 oz. of liquid and its studded design means it catches the light when you turn it and kind of shimmers. It kind of reminds me of a gold goblet in some medieval palace. It’s positively regal!
  3. It’s the perfect summer drink accessory. I feel like we can all use a little bling in our lives at the moment, and this gold cold cup is one way to add it in. As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, cold drinks will be a must-have. I plan on drinking everything out of this!
  4. Of course, these cups are limited edition. Because the special design is to mark the anniversary of the coffee chain, they won’t be around for long. They’ll only be sold in participating locations in the US (sorry, overseas Starbucks fans!) and will only be available for about $19.95 while supplies last. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
