Traveling internationally is unwise and pretty much out of the question right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get have a mini getaway. If you want to spend time in a magical place, head to California to stay at this stunning Airbnb that has a real-life mermaid lagoon. It’s absolutely beautiful!

  1. It’s aptly titled “The Mermaid.” This isn’t your average Airbnb, it’s pretty much a mansion. In addition to the gorgeous pool and spa with an incredible waterfall feature, the house itself also has five bedrooms, a massive kitchen and living room area, a volleyball court, an arcade, and so much more.
  2. But seriously, let’s talk about the mermaid lagoon. This isn’t just a normal pool. The space is huge and features boulders, that waterfall I mentioned, tiki torches for night swimming, a jacuzzi, and a floating bar. It’s like being at an exotic resort!
  3. The house is perfectly situated. Not only is “The Mermaid” perfect in and of itself, but its location in Paso Robles, California is ideal as well. That’s because you’re located only about five minutes from the vineyards and wineries the state is famous for, meaning you can have some pretty sweet day trips before heading back to the house for a swim.
  4. You’ll never want to leave! “Our enormous backyard includes a sand volleyball court, a shuffleboard, bocce ball, horseshoes, an outdoor dining area, lounge chairs, and a waterfall. Fire torches are also placed around the pool for your use,” says AvantStay, who are the hosts. “Our home includes an oversized main dining table, a bar area, soft water, radiant floor heating (for cozy warm toes!), arcade games (DDR, air hockey, Golden Tee), two smart TVs, and a fish tank. Not just any fish tank but one created by the company behind HGTV’s hit show Tanked! If guests are lucky, they may get the chance to watch the fish tank get cleaned. A professional cleaner is required to jump directly into the large fish tank via scuba suit. That’s something you don’t see every day!”
  5. So how can you book your stay? As you can imagine, staying in such an amazing place won’t come cheap and you’re looking at about $1,500 a night depending on when you go. However, if you want to split the costs, it ends up being a bit cheaper (and really, you wouldn’t want to be alone in such a huge house). Book directly via Airbnb HERE.
