Netflix Confirms ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Will Resume Filming This Month

Netflix Confirms ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Will Resume Filming This Month Netflix

It’s hard to believe that it’s been an entire year since Netflix officially renewed Stranger Things for a fourth season. And while we’ve had a teaser of what’s to come when the new episodes are eventually released, production isn’t over just yet. The coronavirus pandemic forced them to shut down for months, but it’s now been confirmed that filming is about to resume on Stranger Things Season 4. Good news!

  1. Things are kicking off again later this month. As Deadline reports, Season 4 of Stranger Things will be back in production down in Georgia from September 28, which is only a week away. That’s so soon!
  2. Of course, that date is subject to change. If something were to happen between now and then or the production team deemed it unsafe to resume filming, that September 28 date could end up being pushed back. Fingers crossed that doesn’t end up happening!
  3. There’s so much good stuff to look forward to! We know from the one small teaser that was released for Stranger Things Season 4 that Hopper is miraculously alive! It’s clear he’s been through quite an ordeal and I doubt it’ll be smooth sailing for him quite yet, but just knowing he’s back is enough for many fans.
  4. It could be back on our screens by early 2021. Season 4 was due to premiere back in July and it would have done, if it weren’t for the long production shutdown. Given that we’re now about three months behind, we could theoretically have new Stranger Things to watch by early 2021, though Netflix hasn’t confirmed a date as of yet.
