Stripper Breaks Jaw Falling From Two-Story Pole But Gets Right Back Up To Twerk

Whatever your personal opinion on stripping and/or pole dancing, you have to admit that the women who do it are absolute beasts. Pole dancing alone is a difficult, athletic sport that takes so much strength it’s mindblowing. Plus, dealing with the men and other people who patronize stripper bars to come see you perform takes a whole different level of fortitude and I have so much respect for these women, especially when I hear stories like Genea Sky’s. The dancer was high up on a two-story pole at XTC Cabaret in Texas where she works when she suffered a nasty fall that left her with a broken jaw, among other injuries. Did she let that beat her? Hell no!

  1. It’s rumored that she fell about 15 feet. Genea Sky was doing her thing on Saturday, February 8, making her money like she does every night, when something went wrong and she lost her grip on the pole, crashing down to the floor below. The incident was caught on video and you can hear the crowd audibly gasp at the fall, but the show must go on, so it did.
  2. She just got up and kept on twerking. I’m pretty sure if I fell and skinned my knee on the sidewalk, I’d collapse into a fit of tears, never mind falling from two stories off the ground. Nevertheless, Genea Sky is a total star and despite being seriously injured, she got right back up without missing a beat and broke out into a twerk.
  3. It was not a laughing matter. Genea later took to Twitter to confirm that the incident had indeed taken place and admonishing those who found the ordeal humorous in any way. “Yes, I fell off the pole.
Yes, I fractured my jaw. NO, I’m not f**king okay,” she wrote. “And there’s absolutely NOTHING funny about this situation. This is the worst pain I’ve ever felt and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.”
  4. She insists she wasn’t drunk or on drugs. While many people wondered how such a thing could have happened and whether or not Genea Sky might have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol during her performance which led to her fall, she insists that’s not the case and that it was simply an accident. “I wasn’t f**ked up,” she explained on Twitter. “I do the same tricks every night. I simply messed up this time around and that was the result. The end.”
  5. She experienced some pretty awful injuries. In addition to having to get stitches under her chin, Genea underwent surgery on her jaw, which was fractured, and also suffered some broken teeth and a sprained ankle. NOT FUN, and definitely not cheap to seek treatment for.
  6. She’s set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for her medical expenses. She’s already raised $29,000 of the $20,000 she originally requested, but given how quickly those costs can spiral out of control, it never hurts to give a little more. Genea Sky may have suffered a fall, but I bet it won’t be long until she’s back up on that pole doing her thing. You can donate to her GoFundMe page HERE.
