Student With 32HH Boobs Begs For Donations To Pay For Reduction Surgery To Alleviate ‘Unbearable Pain’

A British law student who deals with “unbearable pain” on a daily basis because of her large chest has started a GoFundMe page to finance breast reduction surgery. Aminata Daboh from Birmingham wears a 32HH bra size and said that despite others seeing her larger bosom as a positive thing, it’s caused her a lot of “emotional distress and physical pain” since she was a teenager and isn’t getting any better. Now she’s desperate to go under the knife.

  1. The fundraising account is a last resort. Aminata did try to go through the NHS in order to get surgery but despite pursuing that route for many years, she’s still yet to receive the surgery she desperately needs. “On the first occasion my female GP confirmed to me that I meet the physical and psychological requirements,” she writes on the GoFundMe page. “However, on the first occasion, I was made to go 6 weeks of physio, which was tedious as it did not help and I felt like I was being dismissed by the NHS. The second time my male GP tried to discourage me from doing it on the basis that ‘no one gets a reduction on the NHS’ despite me doing my research and seeing it is entirely possible.”
  2. Her chest has kept her from doing all the physical things she used to. “As a child, I was very active and enjoyed physical sports and activities but as I got older and my breasts started to grow I stopped engaging in sports I enjoyed because it was impossible for me to participate because I could not find a  bra that could properly support my cup size,” she shared.
  3. Her self-esteem is also affected by her chest. Aminata also shared that she felt “sexualized and objectified” from the time she was a teenager, leading her to be so insecure that she ended up feeling “ashamed” of her body. She now wears a lot of baggy t-shirts and clothes that hide her figure so that she doesn’t feel so exposed. She also feels it’s impossible to find clothes and bras that fit her well because of her chest size, which is beyond frustrating.
  4. Aminata feels reduction surgery is her only option now. She wants to live a happy, healthy life and feels that the only way to do it now is to privately finance a breast reduction surgery. At the time of writing, she’s raised £2,500 of the £4,000 goal. Hopefully she’s able to get to her target so that she can have the surgery soon!
