Woman Whose Face Was Tattooed Against Her Will Gets Life-Changing Laser Removal Thanks To Kind Stranger

If you need some heartwarming news to brighten your day, look no further. The kindness of strangers strikes again! A woman who had her face tattooed against her will when she was in an abusive relationship has been gifted with laser removal surgery free of charge, thanks to someone she’s never even met who was touched by her story. Taylor White’s life has changed for the better in an incredible way!

  1. Taylor was only 21 when she was in an abusive relationship. At first, her boyfriend seemed completely normal, but it wasn’t long before he started to become sexually and physically abusive. Things escalated until the night of her 21st birthday, he forced her to get a large portion of her face tattooed black.
  2. The incident caused severe trauma. On her birthday, her ex-boyfriend got her extremely drunk and convinced her to go back to a hotel where she soon passed out. She later woke up in an intense amount of pain and believed she was assaulted while unconscious. When she went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, she was horrified to find her face tattooed with “really horrible things.”
  3. Taylor tried to cover up the tattoos with makeup. However, since the black ink is so intense, the tattoos have always been visible even with the heaviest of foundations and concealers. They have been something she’s been forced to physically carry around with her ever since as a horrific reminder of that relationship.
  4. One day, her boss noticed the tattoos from underneath her makeup. She was embarrassed but honest, and her boss was sympathetic. “He said, ‘You can’t live like this,’” Taylor told the New York Post. He agreed to tattoo all of the body art her boyfriend had put on her with blackout ink so she could start to live a “normal life.”
  5. A total stranger decided to go the extra mile. Not content to let Taylor live the rest of her life with half of her face covered in black ink, creator Karridy Askenasy, who posts as @TheDadBot, decided he had to do something about it. “The trouble she was facing obviously had a personal effect on her. It was preventing her from doing the most good possible,” he explained. He not only decided to cover the cost of laser tattoo removal, he arranged the whole thing. A company called Removery got in touch soon after and offered to do it for free, which is an incredible gesture.
  6. Taylor has already had her first session. Carmen VanderHeiden Brodie, the VP of Clinical Operations at Removery, admitted that it could take up to two years to remove the ink completely but that Taylor, now 37, is incredibly happy. “I’m not having it removed purely for cosmetic reasons,” Taylor said. “This is finally removing a part of me that I no longer represent or live in.”
