Teen Who’d Been Bullied His ‘Entire Life’ Gets Incredible Gift From High School Classmates

A high school student who admitted he’d been bullied his “entire life” received a heartwarming gift from several of his classmates who wanted to lift his spirits. Michael Todd, a freshman at MLK Prep in Memphis, Tennessee, was struggling to fit in at school and was often made fun of for wearing the same clothes to school every day. Hating to see him feeling bad about himself, some of his peers decided to change his life.

  1. Michael’s mom doesn’t have a lot of money. As per Fox 13, Michael revealed that finances are tight in his house, and given how quickly he’s growing during puberty, it’s simply too expensive to keep buying new things to wear. “I’ve been bullied my entire life,” the teen said. “I really don’t have clothes at home. My mom can’t buy clothes for me because I’m growing too fast.”
  2. While they initially joined in with the jibes, two of Michael’s classmates had a change of heart. Football player Kristopher Graham and his teammate and friend Antwan Garrett didn’t have a ton of money themselves, but they knew they had more clothes and shoes than they needed. “When I saw people laugh and bully him, I felt like I needed to do something,” Graham said. Garrett added: “I got some brand new shoes I can give him and a few items.”
  3. Michael didn’t know what to make of the gesture at first. In a video taken of when the boys offered up the items to Michael, you can tell that he’s uncertain. Given that he’s been the butt of so many jokes in the past, it’s easy to understand why. “He wasn’t smiling or anything, and I was like, ‘I think this is going to make you smile,'” Kristopher recalled. “‘We’re in the same third period and I apologize for laughing at you, and I want to give you something to make it up.”
  4. Once he realized his classmates were being genuine, he was overjoyed. “You guys are awesome,” Michael told them. “You guys are the best guys of my entire life.” How incredible is that?
