Teen Girl Collects And Keeps Every Mosquito She’s Ever Killed

A young artist has revealed her mosquito collection which consists of all the insects she’s ever killed. The self-taught 19-year-old, named Shreya, shared her extensively numbered specimens via Twitter, showing a single page which contained 88 mosquitos. I have to say, I’m pretty impressed by her mosquito swatting skills!

  1. Her collection started pretty small. As part of the popular “how it started/how it’s going” challenge floating around social media, Shreya first shared a photo of a single squashed mosquito before unleashing a full page of the nasty little blood suckers. Well, that escalated quickly!
  2. It’s a pretty intense collection. Admittedly, some might find it a little strange that someone would collect dead mosquitos, but I think it’s pretty cool and really creative. Those little things are usually just squashed and forgotten about. Memorializing them in this way is certainly bizarre but in the best way possible.
  3. Who knows why she chose to do this? It’s certainly never popped into my head to start keeping the bugs I squash, but hey, that’s why I’m not the artist and she is. Who am I to question genius?
  4. Hopefully she’ll share more of her collection as it grows! I for one would love to see it. Imagine how many she’ll squash over the years! She could finish a whole notebook full in the next few years, I bet!
