Texas Burglar Cuts Victim’s Grass Before Leaving With Lawnmower

Sometimes criminals do some very strange things. That was certainly the case in Port Arthur, Texas, where a burglar allegedly mowed the grass of his victim before making off with the lawnmower. The Port Arthur Police Department posted about the bizarre incident on its Facebook page on Tuesday, where they revealed that the suspect is still on the loose.

  1. Authorities know who was responsible. They name the man as Marcus Hubbard, though they’ve yet to locate him. According to the PAPD, Hubbard went into someone’s yard, taking the lawnmower out without permission. He then began mowing the lawn and when he finished, he took the lawnmower with him.
  2. Hubbard was caught on a surveillance camera. The footage showed Hubbard mowing both the front and back yards of the home, apparently wanting to make sure the lawnmower worked okay. When he finished, he was seen dragging the mower behind him.
  3. He abandoned the lawnmower in a nearby alleyway. When her realized the police were onto him, he ditched the lawnmower and made his escape. An arrest warrant has now been issued for Hubbard.
  4. The PAPD are asking for tips from anyone who might have them. Anyone who knows Hubbard’s whereabouts should call 409-983-8600 or Crime Stoppers of SE Texas at 409-833-8477.
