‘The Office’ Children’s Book Will Make Fans Of The Little Ones In Your Life

Pretty much everyone loves The Office, and even though the show went off the air all the way back in 2013, fans continue to rewatch and introduce new people to the hilarious sitcom in 2020. Well, now you can corrupt—er, educate— the little ones in your life on the hilarity that is Michael Scott and the rest of the Dunder Mifflin crew with The Office children’s book*.

  1. The book is called The Office: A Day at Dunder Mifflin Elementary. The story follows a young Michael Scott as he strives to become the “world’s best line leader.” His fellow Dunder Mifflin colleagues are also part of his class, which is taught by Ms. Levinson. Yep, that’s Jan! Can you imagine anything more amazing?
  2. The illustrations are amazing. The Office children’s book, which was written by Robb Pearlman, contains illustrations by Melanie Demmer, which somehow managed to make the likes of Dwight, Jim, Pam, and Kelly look absolutely adorable. The characters and their surroundings are bright and colorful and sure to catch kids’ eyes (and make adults smile too).
  3. So what do they get up to? While the story does focus on Michael’s career trajectory, the whole gang pitches in, with Mashable reporting that the group “spends the day brainstorming in a meeting, planning and attending a party, and working together to make the perfect line.” It’s all about the importance and power of teamwork, and that’s a lesson kids need to learn. They also learn that it’s okay to ask for help, and that’s so true!
  4. It’s written for kids four to eight years old. While The Office children’s book is really for kids of all ages and even for adults who are fans of the show since there are loads of references to the popular series riddled throughout, from Dundie awards to Dwight’s bobblehead and loads more.
  5. The Office: A Day At Dunder Mifflin Elementary will be out this fall. The publication date is set for October 6, 2020 but you can preorder the title on Amazon HERE.
