TikToker Trolled After Sharing How She Gives Herself ‘Mini-Nose Jobs’

TikTokers come up with some wild stuff in the name of influencing, starting bizarre trends and claiming to have “hacks” for regular things in life that really don’t warrant it. Take, for instance, Isabelle Lux, a NYC-based beauty influencer who claims that she gives herself “mini-nose jobs” at home by following one simple trick. She’s been mercilessly teased ever since posting the clip.

Isabelle Lux says she reshapes her nose with tape.

In a video with thousands of views that uses the hashtag “#ReverseAging,” Isabelle says, “I basically give myself a mini nose job every night before bed.”

How does she do that, you ask? She uses tape athletes use for injuries to tape her nose down on her face. However, she’s quick to mention that you should get the “soft touch” variety so you don’t rip your facial skin off.

In the video, she uses a thin strip of tape on the underside of the tip of her nose, then gets a thicker peace across the bridge of her nose, kind of like one of those Biore strips that are terrible for your skin.

“I personally like to create this shape because it creates a little button on my nose,” she claims.

This “mini nose job” has benefits beyond beauty.

In the same video, Isabelle Lux says that it’s not just her physical appearance that this taping method enhances> In fact, it also keeps your airways open overnight.

After advising people to hold the tape down for several seconds to make sure it sticks well, she says that this can “help you breathe” since the tape “expands your nostrils.”

In a previous clip, she even claimed the “mini nose job” method can reduce swelling in the nose.

“Sky’s the limit,” she adds.

Pretty much everyone thought this was complete BS.

“I refuse to believe this does anything,” one person said.

Another added, “To anyone watching this, nose taping DOES NOT reshape the nose and is not what it’s used for.”

A third pointed out, “You cannot reshape nose without damaging it like surgery or breaking it and then getting it fixed.”

Uh, duh!
