If you’re a big fan of Tom Holland as Spider-Man and consider yourself a bit of a comic book nerd, you’ll want to open Instagram on Wednesday, April 29 when Holland hosts a virtual quiz night to test your knowledge on all things related to the Marvel universe. It’s gonna be GOOD.
- The virtual quiz night was organized by The Brothers Trust. The organization was set up by Tom Holland’s parents in 2017 for a very good cause. As Holland himself explained in a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, “The Brothers Trust is a fundraising vehicle that we use to raise money from the general public that we feed towards charities that we feel need the light and the support. But we felt a little bit uncomfortable asking people for money at this difficult time so we as a collective have been doing the donations.
- The event will hopefully raise some money for good causes. “The reason why we’re doing the pub quiz is to just galvanize people and to give people a sense of community and to kind of bring people and to just have a laugh, and have a good time,” Holland continued. “That’s essentially what we’re trying to do.” Can’t argue with that!
- Quiz nights are a way of life in the UK and Tom Holland is British… Technically speaking, the event is a virtual pub quiz, a popular event in Holland’s native UK that tons of Brits head out to regularly. You drink a few pints of ale, you answer some questions, and you generally have a good time. While heading out to pubs and bars isn’t possible at the moment, there’s no reason the experience can’t be adapted and recreated online!
- So how can you get involved? Check in with Tom Holland and join the fun of the quiz night on Wednesday, April 29 at 8 p.m. GMT (that’s 5 p.m. EST and 2 p.m. PST) on Instagram. You can keep an eye on the actor’s Instagram page and The Brothers Trust account for more specifics!
