Top Ramen Is Looking For A ‘Chief Noodle Officer’ To Receive $10K And 50 Years Of Free Noodles

Admittedly, I don’t eat as much ramen as I used to back in college, but I still appreciate that salty, umami pleasure that comes with a steaming bowl of noodles. If you happen to be a fan of Top Ramen too, you may be interested in knowing that parent company Nissin is looking for a Chief Noodle Officer to not only receive $10,000 but 50 years’ worth of free ramen!

  1. The amazing job came up to celebrate Top Ramen’s 50th anniversary. Nissin Foods is opening up the opportunity to Top Ramen fans to not only get paid a nice chunk of change but also ramen pretty much for the rest of your life (or 50 years, whatever comes first).
  2. You get more than cash and free ramen. In addition to those perks, which would be more than enough to be honest, you also get mentorship from Top Ramen’s CEO and you get to try new flavors/products before they’re released to the general public. Now that’s a perk!
  3. Of course, you’ll have to earn this job. Nissin is working with Top Chef All-Stars LA winner Melissa King to find their Chief Noodle Officer, so you’ll have to impress her if you want to be chosen. How do you do that? By creating a Top Ramen recipe that would make even the best chefs drool.
  4. Once you’ve got your winning recipe, hop on social media. You’ll need to share photos of your noodle creation on Instagram and tag @OriginalTopRamen as well as using the hashtag #HowDoYouTopRamen. You’ll also want to include a five-line cover letter of sorts in an email to [email protected].
  5. Make sure you’re passionate! The idea Chief Noodle Officer candidate will need to be not only passionate about noodles but enthusiastic about new flavors. Good slurping skills are also desirable, as is knowledge to keep you at the top of your noodle game.
  6. You have until Friday, October 30 to apply. What are you waiting for?
