I don’t have any qualms about saying that kids get on my damn nerves. They’re loud, they scream for no reason, and it seems like most of the time, parents aren’t at all interested in controlling them or keeping them from bothering everyone around them. That’s why I’m so intrigued by the idea of adults-only vacations, like Virgin Voyages’ new kid-free cruise. HALLELUJAH!
Scroll down to find out more about the cruise as well as see plenty of pictures of what awaits you on board.
- Virgin Voyages is launching next year. Richard Branson is no stranger to travel, but starting in 2020, he’s waltzing into a whole new arena: cruises. Virgin Voyages will begin booking spots on its cruises starting on February 14, 2020 and you could be sailing by spring!
- The line boasts “no kids, no buffets, and no limits.” That means you’re free to get as sloppy drunk and as full on shrimp cocktail as you dare and there will be no screaming rugrats derailing your downtime. Amen!
- Get ready to set sail aboard the Scarlet Lady! The ship is a 2,700 passenger beauty full of several bars, a giant pool, and even a cave-inspired spa. “Inspired by the oceans and their importance in the health and well-being for our planet and our daily lives,” these cruises are all about some serious chillout time. And that’s just the beginning.
- Say goodbye to the traditional cruise buffet. That’s a recipe for food poisoning and thankfully, it’s blissfully absent from Virgin Voyages. Instead, there are several different food halls, with various stalls and “food truck”-like places to grab a quick bite, all of which are based on various foodie cities. Not only that, but there are plenty of fine dining options as well.
- There’s literally so much to love here. The entire ship is opulent and beautifully open, with various outdoor bars and seating areas meant to resemble everything from classic sports bars to lounges in Ibiza. Basically, I need to get my ticket booked ASAP.
