This Volkswagen Microbus Grill Is The Perfect Backyard BBQ Accessory

I’m a sucker for the Volkswagen Microbus. There’s just something super cute about the vintage vehicle that makes me want to pack all my stuff and go on a road trip across America, hanging out at campgrounds along the way and, I dunno, burning marshmallows on a campfire at night, ha! I may not be able to afford the real thing at the moment, but thanks to Trash Metal Fabrications, I can at least enjoy the Volkswagen Microbus in grill form!

  1. The wood-burning stove part is great on its own. Even if you never throw a BBQ (and you’re kinda missing out there, my friends), just sitting in the back yard with some wood burning in your custom Volkswagen Microbus grill is awesome enough on its own. It’s totally unique and looks awesome!
  2. They’re hand-crafted to the highest specs. The whole thing is sandblasted and then hand-painted with a specialty paint that protects against heat of up to 1,202 degrees, meaning the flames will never damage the look or functionality of the grill and you won’t be breathing in any toxic fumes.
  3. There’s so much attention to detail! The Volkswagen Microbus actually looks like the original. It not only has the classic VW logo on the front but also includes decals on the wheels, headlights, side mirrors, and a grilling rack on top. The craftsmanship is downright impressive!
  4. If you want one, it’s going to cost you. Because the Volkswagen Microbus grills are made by hand and take a lot of expertise and hard work, you can expect to pay between $300 and $350 for one if you decide to take the plunge. Given how much enjoyment you’ll get out of it as well as longevity, I think it’s well worth the price and then some and I’m ready to take the plunge.
  5. You can contact Danny Lyons, the owner, online. If you want to get any of his incredible creations, there’s a Facebook page as well as an Instagram for you to contact him on. What are you waiting for?
