As of September 2022, Kanye West is reportedly “dating” Candice Swanepoel. According to Page Six, the pair were seen partying together at New York Fashion Week, leading the press to begin speculating on a possible romance between the rapper and supermodel.
TMZ shared that West and Swanepoel hung out with Chris Rock at a party before leaving in West’s SUV and going to the same hotel. A source confirmed a budding relationship between the pair, telling ET that they are indeed dating but “their relationship is new.” As for what brought them together, it was all about “fashion and creativity.”
That being said, fans shouldn’t expect wedding bells between them. Page Six says that Kanye West and Candice Swanepoel’s dating relationship is a “PR stunt.” Swanepoel is the face of Yeezy GAP sunglasses, so a relationship between the pair could do wonders for sales numbers. No doubt we’ll be hearing of their “breakup” soon.
Who has Kanye West been involved with in the past?
- Monica Corgan In June 2022, West was seen on a romantic movie date with a mysterious woman later identified as influencer Monica Corgan. According to The Daily Mail, the pair went to see a screening of “Top Gun: Maverick” together in Los Angeles, news which broke after Below Deck camera operator Everette Motta shared candid photos of them on social media. They were also seen together in August 2022 when Corgan reportedly visited West’s $57 million mansion in Malibu. Paparazzi caught them talking on the balcony of the property, leading to further speculation about their relationship. However, they’ve never been seen together since.
- Chaney Jones Rumors that Kanye West was dating Chaney Jones surfaced in February 2022. The first time they were seen together was leaving a listening party for Donda 2 at Nobu in Malibu. However, they also took their liaison across the country and were seen shopping together at the Bal Harbour shops in Miami. Man fans pointed out that Jones is a “Kim look-alike.” However, Page Six reported that by June 2022, Jones and West split over the rapper’s “erratic behavior.”
- Julia Fox Perhaps one of the more public relationships West has had since splitting with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Julia Fox were first linked in January 2022. They were spotted getting cozy in Miami, and it wasn’t long before Fox was giving an in-depth peek into their relationship to Interview Mag. Fox claimed that they had an “instant connection” and bragged about the trips she and Ye had gone on to New York and Miami. By Valentine’s Day, they were over. Fox called herself a “#1 hustler” on her Instagram after announcing the split.
- Yasmine Lopez West and Instagram model Yasmine Lopez were linked in December 2021 when they were seen partying at J Mulan’s birthday party together in Houston, Texas. However, that seemed to be a one-off and they were never spotted together again, so it’s unlikely their “relationship” ever really took off.
- Vinetria Back in November 2021, Page Six reported that Kanye West was dating model Vinetria. According to the paper, the pair had been “hooking up … for a while now” by the time the news went public. After the story broke, they were seen at his Donda Academy’s debut basketball game together in Minneapolis. However, their connection seems to have fizzled out pretty quickly from there.
- Irina Shayk Rumors that Irina Shayk and Kanye West were romantically involved broke about three months after the rapper filed for divorce from Kim Kardashian. TMZ reported in June 2021 that they were “100% romantically involved,” noting that they were “looking very much like a couple” while in Provence for West’s 44th birthday. By July 2021, however, Shayk appears to have shut things down because she “[didn’t] want a relationship,” per Page Six. They decided to stay friends, but it’s unclear whether that actually ended up happening.
- Kim Kardashian This is the relationship pretty much everyone is familiar with. Kardashian and West got together in 2012 and married two years later. They had four children together before the marriage broke down irreparably. By 2020, the difficulties in their relationship were too much to overcome. In February 2021, Kardashian filed for divorce. Of course, the drama between the pair isn’t over. West has continually lashed out at his ex-wife on Instagram ever since.
- Chanel Iman Prior to dating (and ultimately marrying) Kim Kardashian, Kanye West was linked to model Chanel Iman in 2010. However, there was very little proof that the rumors were true. In fact, Iman always denied involvement with West. “Rumors are rumors. Kanye’s a great artist. He’s very talented,” she told US Weekly. “I’ve always loved his music. He’s an incredible performer.”
- Amber Rose Probably Kanye West’s second most infamous relationship was with Amber Rose. The pair dated for two years between 2008 and 2010. However, Rose has nothing but negative memories from their time together. In 2020, she told No Jumper that West “bullied” her for years after they broke up. “That’s what narcissists do, right? You share two years with someone, you take them around the world, you buy the jewelry,” she said. “You shout out to the world how much you love them and how much fun you have with this person and then the person decides that this is not what they want their life to be. I opted out.”
