Winter’s Almost Over, So Get Warm Weather Ready With These 12 Things

It might seem like we’re still stuck in the throes of a gross, freezing cold winter, but spring is just around the corner and summer won’t be far behind. Luckily you still have a few months left to get prepped for the warmer weather, so start by grabbing these things from Amazon.

Baby Foot Exfoliating Foot Mask – $13.49

If you’ve never heard of Baby Foot, I’m here to enlighten you. These are little disposable booties filled with exfoliating liquid that you put on your feet for a while, throw away, and then wait for the magic to happen over the next week or so. All that dead skin that built up on your feet over the winter will start peeling away like you’re a glorious spring snake. It’s so rewarding!

Ped Egg Foot File – $14.99

If physical exfoliation is more your style, go with the classic Ped Egg. I’ve been using this thing for about the past decade and it’s never led me wrong. Take a warm path to soften the skin on your feet, get out and make sure they’re dry, then go to town and feel the gross pleasure of dumping out a bunch of your old skin from the container when you’re done.

Korean Exfoliating Bath Mitt (20 pack) – $7.77

These are another product I absolutely swear by. Pop one of these puppies over your hand and go to town on your legs, arms, or anywhere else there’s dry skin (just not on any particularly tender bits). You will be red as hell, likely in a slight amount of discomfort, and silky soft.

Gilette Fusion 5 Men’s Razor & Refills – $19.94

After you take off all the dead skin, you might as well get rid of all the hair you let grow most of the winter since you’re single and only wear jeans (oh, is that just me?). Everyone knows men’s razors are better than women’s for some reason, and this Gilette one is basic but gives me a smooth as hell shave that takes a bit to grow back, so I’m all for it.

Finishing Touch Painless Hair Remover – $19.86

If you suffer from stray mustache hairs, chain hair (guilty as charged), or any other facial hair that isn’t easy to get rid of with a razor, get one of these. I don’t think it’s 100% painless because it does sting very slightly if you want it to work well, but it does indeed do what it advertises and is quicker than Nair.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – $13.95

I love Laneige as a brand—their moisturizers are bomb—but this lip mask is a game changer. It’s meant to be put on before bed and worn overnight for maximum effect, but I’ve worn it during the day with equally good results. I get dry, cracked to the point of peeling lips in winter so they need some extra TLC and this provides it.

Natural Jade Roller – $15.95

I’m not a big believer in gemstones or anything like that, but what I will tell you is that this jade roller feels SO good when you use it on your face. Leave it on a cold windowsill or even in your fridge for some extra delight. It does help with depuffing if you’ve had a rough night and my skin generally does feel glowier after using it, so why not give it a shot?

Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask – $9.67

After you’ve jade rolled your face, hit it up with this mask which smells amazing and feels like pure heaven. It’s full of Vitamin C so it’ll leave you with a brighter, tighter complexion, plus it exfoliates all that dead skin without being too rough on your skin.

ESARORA 18-in-1 Manicure Kit – $16.99

If you’ve been going to the nail salon all winter, you’re a better woman than I am. If you have let your nails get nasty as hell, it’s time to cut back those cuticles, trim off those hangnails, file down those sharp edges, and get your nails right for their spring/summer debut.

OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener – $12.57

Once you trim down your nails, you want them to get hard and strong. If you’re blessed with genetically strong nails, I’m jealous, but I have paper thin ones that break easily if I don’t make a concerted effort to keep them strong. OPI’s nail hardener SERIOUSLY works. I ply several layers of this stuff on a week and it’s never let me down.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask – $11.38

I dye my hair regularly and while I try to not go overboard with heat styling and other products that can damage it, it gets DRY and my ends can look frazzled. At least they did until I started doing this Neutrogena mask once a month. It’s super rich and creamy, smells great, and actually makes a noticeable effect. Can’t ask for more than that.

Skinerals Sunless Self-Tanner – $22.99

You should always be wearing sunscreen when you go out, even in winter, and you should definitely stay off of tanning beds, which are seriously toxic and cause skin cancer. However, if you’re pale as hell like me and still want a little bit of a summer tan, Skinerals does a great, super natural (i.e. not orange) self-tanner that I really love. In fact, I think I’m almost out of my current bottle…
