Woman Arrested For Relieving Her Bowels 8 Times In Store Parking Lot Natick Police Department

Some people have dodgy digestive systems and have to run to the toilet with little notice — I get it and I’ve been there. However, never have I thought, “You know what? I’ll just open my car door and cop a squat right here in an empty store parking lot.” That’s what 51-year-old Ashland, Massachusetts resident Andrea Grocer did, however  — not once but at least eight times!

  1. The owner of the store thought it was an animal at first. Henry Kanner, the owner of the Natick Outdoor Store, was disgusted to find piles of excrement in his parking lot on a whopping eight occasions. While he originally thought it might have been an animal, the surveillance cameras he installed to catch shoplifters ended up catching something very different: Grocer doing her business on his property.
  2. Grocer was arrested after she was caught in the act. An officer from the Natick Police Department finally came out to investigate after repeated prodding from Kanner. It was on Wednesday, January 22, that the officer wrote that he witnessed with his own eyes Grocer crapping just outside the door of her SUV, a 2018 Lincoln MKX, around 6:55 a.m.
  3. She thought she was being sneaky. Grocer apparently waited until the nearby shuttle buses and commuter train to leave before opening her car door to try and shield herself from view. She then did her business and in just a few seconds, she pulled her pants back up and drove away. Unfortunately, the police officer saw the pile of poo left behind and went after her.
  4. She even left toilet paper and wipes on the site! Lt. Cara Rossi told Metro West Daily News that Kanner realized even prior to the surveillance videos that an animal couldn’t have been the culprit since Grocer had left behind toilet paper and wet wipes, “items animals would not have access to.”
  5. Grocer blamed her behavior on her IBS. When the officer pulled her over and told her what he’d witnessed, Grocer insisted that she only took a dump in the parking lot because she has irritable bowel syndrome and was on her way to her job as a nanny.
  6. She didn’t have an answer for why she didn’t use an actual restroom. The officer pointed out that there were plenty of public restrooms nearby and confirmed with Grocer’s employer that she has access to the toilet at their house. However, Grocer’s only reply was a promise that she’d never drop trou in the parking lot again. “She takes care of business whether it’s raining out, whether it’s snowing out,” Kanner said, according to NBC 10 Boston. “Why would someone do this? And it turns out she works up the street.”
  7. Grocer was arrested but is out on bail. She was charged with eight counts of wanton destruction of property and is due back in court on March 2. Let’s hope she stays out of store parking lots in the meantime!
